Wave Power

The wild winds of yesterday evening (well over 100 km/h at the southern end of Shetland) faded away overnight. The winds might have become calmer but the stored up energy in the waves is still obvious.

Boddam Voe faces directly to the south east. It would seen the brunt of the winds last night, and was still seeing the power of the waves in the middle of today. All the bird life was being funnelled up to the top of the voe.

I spent a while try to get some images which gave a sense of the power driving into the voe. Other images are on Flickr.
