Losing The Will

This is a photograph of the entrance to Falmouth School which Samantha attends and whilst I'm certain that Parents Evening is organised with the best of intentions it is hard to believe that it descends into chaos so quickly.

Even allowing for the parents whose time is far more valuable than mine and therefore they have no need to pay any attention to the time table, the apathetic parents who don't really want to be there but its a good social opportunity, and the parents who are led by their children I found it to be demoralising.

Whilst every tutor enthused about Samantha and I of course was pleased to hear the praise I felt some sympathy for tutors/teachers trapped in small rooms desperately wanting to be somewhere else other than facing little Janet/John's parents with news/views that perhaps they did not want to hear.
