Daylight Robbery

This recently built extension on the left of the picture made me think of the window tax. Somebody has had the idea of marking door and window outlines for possible future use, a bit the opposite of the effect of the window tax where existing windows were blocked up to save money. The term daylight robbery is thought to have originated from this time.

The arch which can be seen on the right is the back of the archway that can be seen in my Arches blip.
