A Sociable and Sunny Saunter

Thanks to kendallishere, we have two new friends right here in Bellingham, Evergreengirl, who blipped me today, and her supportive non-blipping husband B, shown here -- what a trooper!

We met them this afternoon at Boulevard Park, and enjoyed a stroll along Taylor Dock in Fairhaven, followed by coffee and great conversation at The Woods Coffee Shop there.

It's a lovely location, right on Bellingham Bay, with comfortable seating and a handsome fireplace that warms folks both inside the building and on the patio, just visible in today's photo.

Evergreengirl and I played dueling cameras a bit, but you saw more of me on her blip than you will see of her on mine, so she wins!

Phil and I agreed that it was wonderful to have such an interesting and far-ranging conversation -- including how each couple met, commercial fishing, Dobermans, books, houses, Flickr, industrial design, Medicare and health care costs -- flow so easily and richly between the four of us at our first meeting, and we're looking forward to getting together again. I don't think we'll run out of things to talk about, and maybe the three blippers will take more photos, too!
