Scarf
Monday
This is my latest project for the Knitting Ministry at church. The scarves will be going to the Comfort Foundation, which supports orphans and underprivileged children in the Vologda Oblast of northern Russia - one of the missions sponsored by our church. I only started it last weekend, so its been a nice quick project - a simple pattern, yet quite attractive I think - I especially like the ruffled edges. Joan, who leads our group also thought it would be a good way to finish up some of the Homespun yarn left over from the prayer shawls we knit. I finished it this evening while watching the University of Cincinnati v. Syracuse basketball game on TV. U.C. got off to a great start and led almost the whole of the first half, and it remained a close game, but Syracuse won it in the end.
