A time for everything

Fondue!

Sunday
The forecast had said we would make it up to around 50F today, which was hard to believe after Friday night's freezing rain, coating everything in ice, which persisted throughout yesterday, as the temperature never made it above freezing. By the time we left church at about 11am, the temperatures were clearly above freezing, as you could see things were dripping as the ice began to melt. However, the rest of the day remained dismal and misty, and by late afternoon, when we returned from swimming at the "Y", our thermometer still read only 35 - a far cry from 50! However, Roger checked the thermometer just before going to bed and much to our surprise it was reading 50, so I guess they were right after all! Since it was such a dismal day, I didn't try to get an outdoor blip, so I took a shot of our fondue I made for lunch, which always takes me back to the years we had in France, particularly the ski vacations we had in the Alps, and the fondue and raclette dishes we enjoyed there.
