Surprise!

My niece wanted to give her mom a really great birthday present. She thought long and hard about what that might be, and it turned out that she thought the best present would be a surprise visit! So Erin and I trekked out to the Valley of the Sun to surprise my sister on the morning of her 38th birthday. She was very surprised and super happy, which is most excellent in my book.

I'm not a huge fan of surprises. I'd prefer to know what was in store so that I could plan for it accordingly. But I do appreciate that some people (most?) are a little different than me in this aspect. It was fun, though. I'm glad I got to be part of it. Great idea, Hannah Renee!! :)
