20/31 - Sardines

"Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit?
to be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you're there!
If I go underground, you're there!
If I flew on morning's wings
to the far western horizon,
You'd find me in a minute-
you're already there waiting!
Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
At night I'm immersed in the light!"
It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you;
night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you."
Psalm 139

This whole Psalm is amazing, but I love the idea that we can't hide from God; not in a creepy, big brother judgemental way, but that He is constantly looking out for us and watching over us.

I saw these wellies at Christmas and I still think they look hilarious; quite why they are hiding under the BBQ I am yet to find out. I just think it looks like people playing a game of sardines, and having to squeeze in to obscure hiding places which are just not made for one person to fit in, let alone 2+. The most uncomfortable sardines hiding spot I've encountered was a shower cubicle: there were 7 of us in there I think.
I really can sympathise with sardines in a tin.
