Who's That Bird?

What a wonderful cold and very blustery walk round the Reservoir with my niece this morning. It shouldn't have taken so long but with the wind in our faces on the way back round the resistance was as good a workout as any.

I revert to a child at these moments. I had my arms out like wings, letting the wind puff up my sleeves and blow me along. I shreik as the wind hits my face and sooks the very breath out of my mouth. I giggle as it changes direction and my hair blows all over the place. The tingle of cold on my thighs and the nip of rawness on my face are so exciting.

We finished with a cafe stop where I had the most delicious porridge for lunch. Then home to hear the news of another thumping for my team. Still it's important that at times like this, as we are in a relegation battle, the true supporters don't walk away - although we can hang our head a little.

The black bird at the end sits here everytime I pass, today he seemed to have a mate who had a white belly. I can't find out what kind of bird they are, do you know?
