Two chomps

1. Years ago, when I was very young - too young - we lived in Girvan and the folk older than me would sometimes go out to clubs and gigs in other, better towns. This would require travelling or even hiring a bus sometimes as Girvan was not, and still isn't, served well by public transport. So, on one of these occasions the older, cooler folk went out and all we were left with were the stories the following day. It was on one of these occasions that we heard the story of Sloan who had been nominated to get off the bus at a service station on the way home and buy the treats for everyone else. Stuck, he plumped for the very tasty and affordable Chomp bar. As he stocked up and queued, Chomps in hand, some stranger behind him shouted 'Ten chomps? Ya fat bastard'.

2. I love catchphrases that are struck before you know it. My life is full of them, all borne from folk I know, stories long since told.

3. I love a tradition too. Friday night should have a theme and falafels and fizz seems bang on to me.

4. I've had a nice week you know. My moleskin diary from Liberty arrived, I worked through a list and I didn't need a haircut. Connie and Alana had a birthday, I made my first tagine, Colin is on the mend and I had a blast with some good, good people.

5. A Friday night. I love a Friday night me. Love it.

Cheers.
