My new hob has a "pause" button. Press it and activity in the kitchen instantly freezes. It doesn't appear to do slow-motion replay though. Which is a bit of a shame because otherwise I could show exactly how I managed to burn my hand (again) by (yet again) picking up something I knew was hot with (as always) bare hands. I've only been doing that since I started cooking about 100 years ago. One day I'll learn.....
