Wistful moments

Eyam, Derbyshire

I met up with my dad today in Eyam, a little village in the centre of the Peak district, and then walked along the ridge and across the valley past these limestone mines. We nearly cancelled due to the weather but i really enjoyed it, even though i did get soaked. (The rain was coming at us sideways for much of the route!!) Finally about 8 miles later we returned to the starting point and celebrated with a nice cup of tea in a charming tearoom playing 50's music which my dad enjoyed. All in all it was a good day out. Back home now and the first thing on the agenda was a lovely soak in a hot bath. Just going to spend the rest of the evening relaxing now. :-)
