Surviving

Today was just surviving. Up early with boy boys off to school and me and hubby to work. The winds were horrendous and the rain unrelenting. Our city is pretty much isolated, as the roads out are all closed. Rivers are flooding, roofs are blowing off...it's pretty wild. Reports of flash flooding just north of us, taking the lives of a mother and her toddler, have really brought this storm in perspective.

I would have loved to get some shots of the action, but I seriously just had to make it through the day.

So a gentle image of my son's pink cheeks and lovely eyelashes (that he didn't get from me) remind me that we are safe and sound.
