stourport basin

another inland waterways based blip im afraid. we went out for our tea and a walk this evening, with camera and tripod obviously, and found ourselves at the stourport on severn canal basin. i took loads of shots of narrow boats, and the new appartments on the recently finished new leg of the basin, but due to the similarity to yesterdays blip, i went with this.

the chain which was carried through this area by canal was made right on our doorstep, possibly at the "mushroom green chain shop" which is roughly behind our house, and is, i believe the oldest, still working chain makers in the country. its also somehwere im planning to take some shots of the chain being made by hand, the proper way.
