Amaryllis

I have been playing around with indoor blips today as no chance of an outdoor blip. Managed to drop the camera, well it fell from the tripod actually, as I was doing this. Anyway no harm done. The black bits on the photos seems to have disappeared so I am pleased. The amaryllis is a bit past its best but still ok. It is sometimes called a hippeastrum from the Greek for horseman and star. The star is supposed to be the shape of the flower. I have always known them as amaryllis. My dad loved these and we always gave him one at Christmas.

You can just see the other half's thumb at the top of the picture.
