View from the Twelfth Floor
I was teaching on the twelfth floor, in a class that I hadn't been in before, which provided a great view over the city to the south.
Up high, you notice alignments and conjunctions of buildings that aren't apparent at ground level, and this helps to give a fresh perspective on how bits of the city fit together, or not.
The cupola of 1882 Technical School (now the College) dominates the foreground, and I think is one of the skyline features that most in the city like. The 1966 Bradford Ice Rink building sits behind, less admired. The very sharp-eyed might pick out the statue of JB Priestley in front of the National Media Museum.
I prefer the view to the north, out over Manningham Mill to the moors, but whichever way you look, there's always something to admire in this city.
