Colditz for Chooks.

Big Chook Camp

OK, you are a chicken. Can you dig tunnels? Nah. Can you fly? Not much. Can you operate wire cutters or open padlocks using your beak? Nah.

OK, you are a fox, otter or dog can you dig a tunnel? Probably over time. Can you fly? Only when being pursued. Can you use wire cutters or open padlocks? Nah.

So one is therefore left with the proposal that the superior defence mechanisms on this chicken run are set to negate the human of the ape species. There are electric fences, overhead netting, padlocks on the gate and hutch doors. You name it and Ronnie Kray would blanche at the thought of the effort required to B&E. I can hear the tones of the opening sequence to "Porridge," "Norman Stanley Chook, you are an habitual chook and are therefore consigned at Her Majesty's pleasure to be??"

Why? The concrete, netting, electrics etc cost a fair bit. There are only a few chooks in the compound. A dozen very fresh farm eggs cost £1 at the gate of nearby houses. Is it an attempt by MI12 (the little known egg security service) to test the best security design for "Happy Chooks?"

Answers on a white fiver to the usual address.
