Red in Tooth and Claw

This is Jesafly's cat, Thaddeus Rex (also known as T. Rex). Here he is seen playing mercilessly with a mouse of the dead variety. Well, I presume it was dead at this point, given its head was in Thaddeus' mouth and the body was being whipped around most energetically.

After he went off and left its corpse at the bottom of the stairs, the kids went down to have a look. Miss 6's comment: "That mouse had died. From Thaddeus. Red of tooth and claw." ;-)

Little parrot - I had just remarked as they went down the steps: "Nature, red of tooth and claw" - I've just checked, and I see it should have been in tooth and claw (and have thus amended the title of this entry).

However, despite being red in tooth and claw, Thaddeus also found time during his enthusastic torment of this ex-rodent to take just a step to the left... :-p
