Bobby is home

Went to see Bobby at the vet hospital this morning. He didn't look well at all. Spent a few mins with him and returned home.

This afternoon he had an ultrasound scan. I phoned the vet later to ask about the results. She said it wasn't good news. It showed Bobby has an enlarged heart which has thin walls ( Dilated Cardiomyopathy ). He will need daily medication. Vet said he was OK to go home as he didn't need oxygen any more. He needs to go to the vet on Friday for a check up and have another scan in 4 - 6 weeks to see if his heart condition has deteriorated - if this happens it will mean his heart is failing.

So this evening my sister in law gave me a lift to go and collect Bobby. He cried all the way home in the car. When we got home he had a bite to eat and a drink of water and then went upstairs to the bathroom where its warm and quiet. Still there now.

I will have to disturb him later as I need to give him a tablet. Not looking forward to that.

So I don't feel very positive at the moment - just have to hope the tablets will help his condition. I'm so glad to have him home - poor sick Bobby. He will get lots of love and kisses.
