Sweet memories

There was a gathering at Paola and Mimmo's house today as Mimmo is flying Paola back to Rome on Thursday, where she will be buried on Friday. I was in awe of the strength Mimmo and their daughter Georgia showed today - they were determined to smile and to share fun memories of Paola with everyone. Although it was a sad event, it was also really comforting and good to share our memories. I took this picture on my walk home from the gym earlier... across the golf course is my old garden, and also Paola and Mimmo's garden. Some sweet yellow flowers were growing there, although I'm not sure if they are visible in this shot.
