Christmas Eve 2011
Today was a wonderful day spent with family. Started out by prepping/cooking since we were hosting my family this year. Prime rib (kinda scary since it was our first attempt), garlic smashed potatoes, slow cooker sweet potato casserole, rolls, cider, etc. A feast was ready to happen. :)
Then we all met at church for the Christmas Eve service and enjoyed it, especially my favorite Christmas song "Mary Did You Know?" sung by my friend, Alissa. So beautiful. Afterwards, we headed to our house for our Christmas meal, gift opening and family time. It was so great to have everyone together to celebrate our Savior's birth. The adults shared some laughs and the kids had a nerf gun battle. :)
Once we said our goodbyes to family, we sent the kiddos to bed so that Santa could visit and we began washing tablecloths and prepping for hosting Christmas morning for Gary's family. Gary chopped and chopped til the wee hours of the night and put it all in a slow cooker so that the breakfast burrito fillers would be ready for the a.m. Night all and Merry Christmas Eve!!!
