Happy Birthday to you....

Today she is a teenager! It is hard to believe, but I knew it was coming. I should have been prepared.

We at least managed to be prepared with gifts... she was in awe of her first 'real' camera, it seemed it was a genuine surprise for her. She impatiently waited for the battery to charge as I hadn't been THAT prepared, and then took off like a rocket, shooting this and that. up and down, video on, video off. We had to tell her to put the camera away during dinner.... her response "OK, but I have to get a picture of the food first..." Is it possible my 'this is a good blip-op' example may have been absorbed too thoroughly?

We rounded out a great birthday Sunday with a lovely dinner with a friend and the Sunday NYTimes crossword puzzle.... it was a good day!
