Three Muskateers

2years 86days

Its been a busy day today, lots of really fun things going on. We pottered at home first thing. She sat in her tutu, on her beanbag, with a tea cup in one hand, and a book in the other, telling the story to Monkey. I mopped up my flooded kitchen due to a leaked seal in the washing machine. I then had to read Counting with Jess four times. She now recognises the numbers 1-5 and pick them all out, and there are several jumbles of the numbers at the back of the book, so we had to do it a few times.

We then headed to a baby shower we threw for a friend of ours from my post natal group. And it was super nice, because all our little group of friends and babies from the group made it today. It happens at the babies birthdays only normally, so this was lovely. The children all played so nicely. They ate LOTS of crisps, but played nicely too! After nearly two hours, Katie announced "I want to go home now". So we left! Headed to Grandads for a quick play and some lunch.

Next stop was Little Hoppers play centre, where we met Jasmine, Jaden and Vic. To say they had fun is probably a huge injustice to how they loved it. Katie really loves their company, adores them both. She bounds up to them for massive cuddles and just potters around like a big kid. Apart from when she ate her crackers. That she did sat in a bouncy chair in the baby area. They ran around for 2 1/2 hours and only got dragged away as we were going hyperthermic due to the aircon blasting out!

We then went to Grandads again for some tea with them both and a play. She was beginning to look a little tired, unsurprisingly by then, but did really well. She was full of chatter, mainly actual sentences but then amusingly filled in with some serious Katie-talk when her brain wasnt getting the words fast enough for her to tell the story.

A lot of laughs and smiles today.
