Morning crystals

C & M thought I should blip a 'sunset through the trees' shot, but I prefer this one, even though it breaks a few 'rules' about focus points.

Here, as in most of the UK, it was a frosty morning and I went for a wander round some wintry fields and hedgerows, enjoying the light and the cold.

I spent quite a long time messing around with depth of field and manual focus, thinking that this would be much easier with a tripod. But I am very averse to carrying much kit, so have never really taken to using one.

Looks like it is going to be cold again tonight, so there is a risk of more frosty blips tomorrow.
