Palo Alto Winter Turf

Today was Day 2 of the Palo Alto Winter Turf. It started with an early day. First game was at 9am with us getting there around 8am. Had a difficult time getting the sleepy three little monkeys out of the hotel room, but the hot breakfast awaiting them in the office helped. Loren was still recovering from yesterday's 2 games. His team was really hoping for a better day today after 2 losses yesterday and that's exactly what they got....a better day. They played so hard at their 9 am and 1 pm games and won both of them!!! I found out an important little detail this morning that really put things in perspective. I never heard that we were playing teams 2 divisions above ours just so the team could get an idea of our future! We are a silver division team (our first year of comp. this year) and were playing premiere teams in this tournament....the best of the best. So the Thunderbirds ending the Palo Alto Winter Turf in 3rd place was a HUGE accomplishment. Way to go boys!!!!!!!!

Thank you to my mom/Nana for being my travelling companion this weekend. It was great to have her there and to help guide me there and back as well. We only got lost once, on the way home. haha But I was happy to be back home and will be leaving most of the unpacking til tomorrow.
