A welcome sight

A welcome sight of clear skies and early morning sun, lighting the mountain tops greeted us today, when I peered out the window.

However, many ski runs were still closed due to the avalanche risk.

We skied in fantastic powder on the pistes. The wind was still very strong on the higher slopes, and in the afternoon the weather closed in again, with further snow showers.

A fantastic day, with aching legs to prove it.
