Canada Geese Sychronized Swimming
Woke up early as I could see that the moon was out reflecting on the bedroom walls, and I had been trying for the last two nights to get some moon shots with my new camera. The EOS Rebel has a better lens, and more telephoto power, but this isn't Maui (where you have no fog or smog) and the quality wasn't as good as I hoped. It really was hilarious me dragging the tripod upstairs at 4 in the morning (all the time I was praying that I wasn't going to fall down the stairs, or wake my poor husband up).
Then came the daybreak and the usual parade of champions at the pond. Today we had new visitors, a big flock of Canada Geese (hopefully they aren't the Cackling Geese, and I'm sure my sis will correct me if I'm wrong). They stayed at the pond almost all day, and proceeded to march around scolding each other. It was really quite weird to watch them yelling, tongue out, and chasing each other, raising up with feather extended, over and over! Quite a spectacle to behold!!!
Then this afternoon after I returned from an appointment, the beautiful Great White Egret returned, and this time I walked practically up to him, and he didn't fly away until the very end. I got lots of great shots, but I'll share a couple on my flickr account, if you'd like to see those and any of the ones above, CLICK HERE!
Thanks for all the wonderful comments and hearts yesterday on the bobcat, and I'm so glad you all enjoyed it. Those things don't happen to often, and I think it's amaziing to see those sorts of wild animals!!
