Exhibition

Ever since the festival exhibition on Elizabeth Blackadder started I had decided that I would go and see it once the festival was over. Well, today I thought would be a good day to go and see the exhibition. I had checked again in December and it was going to be on till January.
Second of January to be precise. I was very disappointed when I found out this morning. Nevertheless I went to see the Turner in January instead. I love seeing those watercolours, it's like meeting old friends every year. I also have a few favourite pictures in the gallery anyway and loved seeing them again too.
I also had a look at the new portrait gallery and loved the exhibitions there. The works of Lavery remind me of a Swiss painter Moor whose paintings seem similar. I will try and find out if they were contemporaries.
A bit of sale shopping and some sitting down to eat a nice sandwich and read my book. All in all a successful day off. I will make sure though not to miss the Cadell exhibition.
