Mothers pride
Another day at work today and upon arriving there I was kicking myself that I hadn't thought to bring the camera with me as I had vowed I must do :( When I arrived there the sky was the most beautiful shades of red and pink and you could see the trees silhouted against it. So one very disappointed blipper started her day!
As the day progressed I was still drawing a blank on what my blip for today would be. By the time I arrived home I was still none the wiser. I had even consulted the 30 + 1 day challenge on here to see if it could inspire me. So I threw myself into preparing tea, thinking about getting my son's homework done, organising clothes for them for tomorrow and baths.
It was whilst sitting with my son doing his homework that I happened to stumble upon this idea. It combined two themes for me really. The 30 + 1 day challenge today was A childhood memory and I have such vivid memories of sitting doing my homework and learning to read with my mum just as I was doing with my son now.
It also has the theme of mothers pride hence the title. This time last year we were being advised by my son's school that he may benefit from another year in nursery since he was young enough to wait to begin primary school for another year. However, we as his parents were sure we knew him best and pushed ahead and tonight sitting doing his homework I was so proud of how far he has come and how much he has developed.
He now can read such a stream of words in books and thinks nothing of picking one up and trying to read. He can write his own name, a range of other words and knows all his alphabet. He has also I think mastered the art of pencil grip, lol!
One very proud mummy, blipping tonight :)
