So today I put words into action, not action into words.

Since I was given a camera for Christmas, I have been saying that I would join a Camera Club in order to learn how to get the best out of it and also how to take a reasonable photograph. Tonight was the night!!!

I went along to a local Camera Club and stayed for some 2 hours. I was made to feel most welcome and found the evening to be most enjoyable.

I was informed that I could attend 4 meetings to "get a feel" for the Club before deciding whether I want to become an official member. Tonight was Chairman's Night and we spent time looking at some photographs entered into an International Competition. We were asked to form groups and were given about 8 photographs and asked to pick just one that "stood out". It was quite interesting to sit with someone (i.e. Jack) who clearly knew what he was talking about and learn what to look for and what made up a "good shot". I learnt something just from that alone.

So look out fellow blippers. I hope one day (probably in the distant future) to surprise you with some serious shots when I go click clicking with my camera.
