Alexander-Cosy

It's been a reasonably productive day today. A nice Geordie insurance assessor turned up an hour early, so we weren't exactly dressed... But he had a good look at the roof, spoke to the neighbours and suggested we get paid cash to sort it out ourselves. As next door have builder friends (who steadied the chimney last week) this sounds like a good plan. Especially as we don't want to have to wait the enormous time it takes to get anything done through the insurance, it seems.
I've had a few mystery calls on my mobile so I hope the 'emergency' roofers are still coming tomorrow...

I had to go to Ikea to collect the correct parts I need for my kitchen, and return the incorrect ones that got delivered, but it didn't take too long. Alexander and Daddy went to soft play. Alexander had to be torn screaming off the climbing frame when it was time to go home, according to Daddy.

Then we sat down and watched a lot of The Killing II - which I've already seen, but Mr HPW has got round to it now. We may be in an argument about watching the last one vs Sherlock tonight.

Incidentally, one of the bonuses of this time of year is that Ikea are showing their kitchen ad with the lovely young men again.
