My poor old work horse of a car carried buckets of rubble, plaster board, a manky old water tank and broken bricks to the tip (*the* place to be on a Saturday afternoon, if the queue was anything to go by) today for the last time (I hope) and came back laden with flooring materials for the kitchen. The suspension was really groaning. But it keeps on going, poor old thing.

That was it. The day, entirely gone. I do often wonder how it can possibly take so long to go to Wickes, choose a few building materials and get them home.

This photo is some ribbon which decorated a Christmas present this year. Our tree is still up. It's nice to get as much mileage as possible out of it. I'm most impressed, a bargain £2 it cost and not a needle has yet fallen.
