Humbling

This is not the most beautiful picture I took this day, on Cairn Gorm. But it is the most revealing. The most apposite word I could think of for the weather up there was not dramatic, or evocative of the actual impact of the conditions. My word was simply this. Humbling. I didn't get near the top. If I'd even tried, I would not be writing this blip now.
