PROUD MUM AND GRANNY BLIP

Time I did a proud Mum (technically stepmum) blip.

E (left) & B (right) were definitely part of the package when I married C, though they didn't come to live with us until they were 12. (His Mum came to live with us when she was 75, but that's another story with far less fun!) Although she only looks about 12 in this photo, B married about two weeks after it was taken, and about two weeks after that she had Toby. That was 17 years ago today, so Happy Birthday to my eldest grandson! B herself will be 36 on Monday, and E will be 40 next month. B is a wonderful mum bringing up three kids while their dad is in Afghanistan; she's funny, hardworking and incredibly grounded and perceptive. E is managing two kids on her own, while doing a very demanding research Masters degree in comparative linguistics and getting distinctions in all her papers. I'm their only surviving parent, and I am so proud of them both, and so would C have been.
