Yum yum yum yum
This was a day of squillions of photos. 400-odd in fact. Most of them very similar, as my niece made me photograph her and nephew A acting out a story about a monster in stop motion. But then in a whirlwind of lego pieces, hundreds and thousands, squished feet, and forgotten possessions, they headed off to the in-laws for the rest of their stay here.
I ran around finding clothes, presents and hairbrushes and rushed off to Em's birthday dinner. Jono's (Em's husband) sisters have both spent long times in Japan, and brought back all the skills of a Japanese feast, then taught them to the rest of the family. We had sushi (self-assembled), sashimi, tempura vegies, saki, and all kinds of other delicious things. Yum Yum Yum. Followed by sticky date pudding, with homemade icecream and butterscotch sauce. We played pictionary, some cheated at it, we drank tea, chatted, and laughed. Happy Birthday Em!
