A little rain overnight, but we woke to reasonably fine and calm weather, Which surprised us given the forecast, rain and gale force winds ...

Which did eventually arrive mid-morning, and hasn't relented so far! Fishing was cancelled, cold, rain and onshore wind. So it was a day indoors. Reading, games, some homework. Pretty nice actually.

Second to last full day, heading back to Auckland Monday. Weather permitting.

Fantastic in large

And yes, this is a Tui, a native bird of New Zealand, and a fantastic songbird. hard not to love them. This one is eating nectar from a Harakeke (Flax).
