Striking.

Another kindle photo I'm afraid! This time with a case that might really protect it. I do quite like the contrast of colours, too!

Well, day 2 of placement is finished. Today seemed more purposeful than yesterday and I feel as though I am beginning to get to grips with the way the team works. I had expected that there would be more inpatient and fewer community interactions but the opposite is true - which is good in the sense that I am quite used to the community way of working and enjoy it, but problematic in terms of developing my skills base. Hopefully PPP4 will provide an opportunity for some experience in an acute setting :]

While PPP2 was certainly not free of challenges, this placement comes with an entirely different set of challenges and in some ways they feel quite daunting. The expectation for performance is also much higher which may take some adjusting to.

There's a supply of tea, sweets and chocolate digestives in the office which is always a bonus!

I will say it though - I miss paediatrics a lot already...definitely a motivation to get some kids' work planned into my ample summer holidays :]

Half day tomorrow, with the afternoon being intended as being for study. However, I'm going to head back to Edinburgh first (nobody's fooled!) and then try to hit the library for a few hours when I get there :] Oh so looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces over the weekend!
