What The?

I have a radiator that isn't heating properly (air in it?) and my plug key doesn't fit.

So it was off to the DIY store to get another one.
The roof doesn't look like it has too much damage (c0mpared to other places around here) but my word what a noise it was making......

Some of the shopping centre in Livingston is still closed due to the roof coming off - that is causing fun and games.

There was a Scottish Water van complete with digger on a trailer pulled up outside the house this afternoon.
Two men in the obligitory high visability jackets got out and went at looked at the pavement outside the front.
Then they went and got a Stihl saw and cut round a small access plate in the pavement.
Then they got some tarmac ...... and filled in the slits they had just cut.
Then they got back in the van and drove off.

Why?
I have absolutely no idea.

This evening No1 son and his good lady will make an appearance and stay until Sunday.
They are coming up for our friends funeral tomorrow.
She was a 2nd mother to our kids (as SWMBO is to her kids) and there is no way he would not be there.

I just hope that the weather forcasters have got it right for a change and there is no rain and lighter winds for the funeral.
