Lighting up my life

I took over 300 photos today and have given up narrowing down the best shot for blip. Instead I literally narrowed it down to 25 then went eeney meeney to choose.

For most of you this won't need an introduction, for the others this is looking under the Sydney Harbour Bridge at Sydney Opera House with Circular Quay to the right.

We did lots today. A little shopping, a long lunch and a lot of sightseeing. Paddys Market to start the day then into Westfield in the CBD to have a look around (mostly gaping at the prices in the exclusive shops) then up the Tower for lunch in the 360 revolving restaurant. Gorgeous sights of Sydney while we ate, a brilliant experience.

We fitted in a couple of boat rides on the harbour and a monorail circuit this afternoon, then went back across to Luna Park so that I could take photos of the lights of Sydney - a bit of an undertaking as, in the interests of conserving space and weight, I didn't bring my tripod overseas with me. Darn!

One of the things that I have noted since we got back to our hotel was that none of today's shopping was for me! Definitely an oversight on my part, and one I might attempt to remedy tomorrow. But then again... I have exceedingly sore feet and am bone tired.

We're intending to get the River Cat in the morning from Parramatta into the city and also to fit in a trip across to manly - just because we can.
