Until Next Year...

I spent the afternoon putting the Christmas stuff away. Coiling the strings of lights up carefully so they'll come out of the boxes smoothly next year instead of in a big snarly mess, nestling the glass ornaments in their divided boxes or carefully wrapping them in tissue, taking the creche down and storing the Christmas plates away. It always seems so barren and dull after all the glitter and glitz is put away, but it's also nice to get back to a clean slate. I'll take the opportunity to clean the living room and rearrange the furniture, but that can wait until tomorrow.
