Not Many People Know That 1 & 2

I've noticed a flush of clever New Year and 365 challenges appearing on blip, and thought:

'Doh! I wish I'd thought of that.'

In my usual fashion I've missed the mark by one day.

So instead, I'm going for a casual series for 2012 entitled:
'Not many people know that.'

I won't be doing it every day for a year because I don't know enough things that not many people know.

Today, however you get the introductory offer of two things that not many people know for the price of one.

Not Many People Know That: 1

Lots of people know that I am not a fan of Michael Caine. It galls me that someone who, in my opinion, can't act and can't do accents can be a film star, but not many people know, that Michael Caine never said: 'Not many people know that.'
The phrase was originally used by Peter Sellers on Parkinson.

Also, not many people know, that apparently, Peter Sellers' home answer phone had a message which said:

'My name is Michael Caine, I am sorry to say Peter Sellers is not at home, and, not many people know that.'

Needless to say I am a huge fan of Peter Sellers.


Not Many People Know That: 2.

If you look closely at a horse's eye, with the sun shining through the anterior chamber, you can see an oddly shaped dark coloured body sticking out from the iris, just above the pupil, called the Corpora Nigra. This works like a sunshade, filtering out the glare of the sun, and not many people know that.
