A Thrush in the Bush...

....is worth two in the hand.

You know the original saying? "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". Well it's just never made much sense to me.

To be honest, I just think it sounds plain rude and filthy! :)

EDIT: You know what.....I'm doubting this is a Thrush now. I'm thinking a particularly speckled Female Blackbird. Berunner's comment below got me thinking. Egads, you'd think I'd be more confident by now in my bird ID!
