We had our 2nd Christmas today with Granny and Papa who drove down from Scotland last night. Amelie was much more excited by the presents than on Christmas Day take 1, possibly because there wasn't as much build up and expectations around it or possibly because she wasn't absolutely choked with the cold this time! She opened nearly all of her presents herself, even if it did take a while, and seemed genuinely excited by all of them. She got a ladybird trunki, a bed for her babies, loads more books and puzzles, some lovely clothes and lots more exciting things. We all had a nice breakfast and got ready before going out for a wee walk. We had dinner when we got back (chicken balmoral, yummmm) but Amelie didn't eat that much. She is having a funny time of eating recently, declaring her hunger but not eating much. I do believe her final 4 teeth are on the move in her gums and she's eating her hands more than anything. So I'm not going to worry about it! She had great fun in the bath, splashing Papa (which is all very funny until Papa goes home and its Mummy who gets it!) and then was exhausted so went to bed very easily. As she was saying goodnight to everyone she gave Granny a cuddle and said (completely unprompted) "Night night Granny, thank you for bringing presents". So proud of her! We all sat up after she went to bed and tried not to fall asleep (my Mum failed miserably) then just before midnight Amelie woke up and so she joined us for the bells (and was then very confused when an hour or so later it was time to go back to bed!).

The next year is a big year for us as we are getting married in April.
2011 wasn't a bad year for us but I'm so looking forward to 2012!
