A welcome visitor

It's been raining here for a week - see here for a glimpse of what's been going on - same view, different weather.

I don't have a rain gauge but wouldn't be surprised if we've had 200mm (8") in that time.

The wind has been howling from the north west, bringing yet more rain.

Suddenly, a shaft of sunlight makes a very welcome appearance and disappears as just as fast as it arrived. The weathermen say it'll be late Thursday or early Friday before this lot buggers off. We're due about four fine days and perhaps yet more rain after that.

I hate winter.
