New Year's Eve Dinner

Same title as last year's blip, but not the lovely dinner party this time. We're staying home this evening. Staying out of a car and off the highway is certainly wise on this night of parties.

After a late afternoon errand and a stop at the "Dog Park" so that Chloe, Mitzi, and Max (not in the photo) could run and jump, we decided to make a quick stop at the drive-thru for some tacos and a burrito for a very casual evening meal here at home.

Guess who wanted a taco?

We'll do a New York celebration at 9:00 p.m. here in our southern California home and not stay awake till midnight. We'll do our best to have the pups sound asleep long before the firecrackers and gunshots start sounding. Actually a very loud cherry bomb exploded somewhere across the meadow a while ago and the pups began they chorus of barks. We're hoping midnight will not be a repeat of that performance.

We're almost last in the blip-world to ring in the newest year. Here at "Funville" we don't tend to make resolutions and we try to be grateful for every day we get, so we're not overly thrilled to say goodbye to 2011. It was an okay year, not the best, but okay. We never like to rush the clock or the calendar, so 2012 is welcome. We're putting in our request for it to move a bit more slowly.

Happy New Year everyone!

Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
