Didn't think we'd be checking out DIY stores on Boxing day but husband went in search of security locks and timers to take up to his mum's house as soon as we are given the all clear.

We heard later in the afternoon that the scenes of crime bods had done their stuff. No fingerprints and the muddy footprints on the carpets not defined enough. There is hope that they may recover DNA from the whisky bottle that might have been swigged from by the intruder. Seems that a pillow case may have been taken to tip the loose change into.

Quiet day otherwise, caught up on ironing and watched husband and sons play with the remote control helicopter that Father Christmas brought.
