Back to normal

Grace and John left this morning for a New Year weekend in the Peak District with John's family. We have had a lovely lunch at the vicarage with Vicar Bob and Suzanne. Thank you both. We are now back to a somewhat tidier house with an emptier fridge and having had to extend the sleeves on John's J jumper over the holiday so he could take it away with him, I can now settle down to a quiet evening and get on with my next knitting project.

I got this Alpaca yarn and a knitting bag containing four vintage patterns at a vintage fair just 1 year ago for £5! Grace has selected the pattern you can see and I am hoping to have it finished for her birthday in February. Haven't got to the tricky bit yet which is a lacy yoke done on 4 needles. I can just plough on happily and catch up with some of my Christmas recordings.

A brief respite as it all starts again tomorrow!
