Northern Exposure

Late blip

I almost forgot to take a pic today. It's been grey and cold and damp all day. Others in the household have been curled up on the sofa with a cold and the Tour de France.

I made soup from yesterday's harvest and made focaccia with fresh picked rosemary to go with it.

The boys and me sorted out the chaos in their cupboards.

The neat shelves will last not much longer than the soup and bread did.

Everyone else has gone off to bed and I was looking out the window at the ducks, snoozing in a huddle on the grass. I remembered I hadn't taken a blip...

...this is the hen's ark. It's designed to be moved around so that the hens confined to the pen below can get fresh grazing. As you can see from the wilderness surrounding it we rarely move it because our hens are free to roam (it was puchased a long time ago for a garden far, far away). Inside the ark the hens are sleeping too, if you open it you encounter a feather duvet which clucks irritatedly at you.

Something tells me I should go to sleep. Night, night all. Or maybe Mornin' to those in far off time zones.
