Walking Wolfie III
....from urban farmhouse to just plain farmhouse.
Back in rural Virginny and it's another afternoon in the woods walking with trouble, otherwise known as Virginia, the newest member of the family.
Being the youngest she is a bit of a baby and a troublemaker to boot. Walking through the muck of a recent rainstorm we took the old trail that meandes to the creek behind our land. Everything this time of year is brown and barren, yet there is still life everywhere. Cardinals and dark eyed juncos twirl and twist through the boughs. Tracks from the resident deer herd, foraging opposums and raccoons freckle the riverbanks. And in the distance over the swamp I even caught a glimpse of one of our resident barred owls - surely a good omen.
The wildest creature in these parts though is surely Virginia. I mean...just look at her. She looks like an African Wild Dog! No really, google it. I double DOG dare you...
