Manege de Velocipedes

For Ch's 11th birthday today we visited the Musée des Arts Forains, a exhibit of old fair equipment and rides that is only open a few days a year. It was really lovely. The girls got to ride this Manège de Vélocipèdes (1897), a carousel from 1860 and played a game against a dozen other people to race little wooden café waiters across a board. We found a decent place for lunch in the Pavillons de Bercy, plus made Ch's favourite dinner tonight and the birthday cake she requested: chocolate with macaron cookies on top. It made for a very nice day for all of us.
